Source: Scrophulariaceae Scoparia dulcis L., a plant of the genus Scoparia dulcis, is used as medicine. Harvested in summer and autumn, washed, used fresh or dried.

Nature and flavor: sweet, cool.

Functions and indications: clearing away heat and dampness, dispelling wind and relieving itching. Used for cold and fever, lung heat cough, enteritis, bacillary dysentery, poor urination; topical treatment of prickly heat, skin eczema.

Usage and dosage: 0.5~1 tael; appropriate amount for external use, mash the fresh product and apply the juice externally.
