Source and origin

Scrophulariaceae Paulownia fortunei (Seem.) Hemsl. Tomentosa (Thunb.) Leaves of Steud [2]. The former is distributed throughout the Yangtze River Basin and its south of the region; the latter distribution Liaodong Peninsula and Hebei, Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi and other places.
Taste: bitter, cold
Indications: Qingrejiedu, water swelling.
1. Hand and foot swelling.
Decoction: 15 ~ 30g.
2. Governance ulcer swollen poison.
Decoction, pound or vinegar steam paste.
  chemical composition:
Phyllostachys pubescens leaves containing aucubin, foxtailin, mandarin, ursolic acid, paulownia, dextrose sesamin, pod fern and polyphenols.
Pharmacological effects of white leaves
Leaf foam extract has effect on mice with expectorant.
