Source This product is made of sulphate mineral alunite by processing and refining.

Traits this product was irregular block or granular. Colorless or pale yellowish white, transparent or translucent. The surface slightly smooth or uneven, with a fine edge, a glass-like luster. Hard and brittle. Gas micro, taste acid, slightly Gan and very astringent.

Chemical composition of the main containing water potassium aluminum sulfate [KAl (SO4) 2 · 12H2O].

Identification of this product in aqueous solution of aluminum salt (Appendix Ⅳ), potassium salt (Appendix Ⅳ) and sulfate (Appendix Ⅳ) identification reaction.

To prepare alum: remove impurities. When used to mash.

Dry alum: take net alum, lighting calcination method (Appendix Ⅱ D) calcined to crisp.

Sexually sour, astringent, cold

Meridian to the lung, spleen, liver, large intestine.

Function of external treatment detoxification insecticide, dampness itching; internal bleeding to stop bleeding, remove the wind phlegm. External treatment for eczema, scabies, pimps pus; oral administration for more than a long time, blood in the stool, uterine bleeding, epilepsy mad.

Dry alum wet convergence sores, hemostatic rot. For eczema wet sores, ear ear pus, Yin itch belt, nose bleed at the nose, nose meat.

Dosage: the amount of external use, powder or water wash the affected area; oral administration of 0.6 ~ 1.5g.
