Source This product is the dry shoots of Morus alba L. Harvest in late spring and early summer, remove leaves and sun-dried, or slice fresh and sun-dried.

Characters This product is long cylindrical, with few branches, different lengths, diameter 0.5 ~ 1.5cm. The surface is gray-yellow or yellow-brown, with many yellow-brown dotted lenticels and fine longitudinal stripes, and gray-white slightly semicircular leaf scars and yellow-brown axillary buds. The quality is tough, not easy to break, and the section is fibrous. The slice thickness is 0.2 to 0.5 cm, the skin is thin, the xylem is yellow-white, the rays are radial, and the pith is white or yellow-white. Gas micro, tasteless.

Store in a dry place.

Calcium oxalate cubic crystals exist in sclerenchyma cells or are scattered, and are polyhedral or square, wilted, biconical-like, with a diameter of 5-20 μm.
