Source This product is the gramineous plant Imperata cylindrica Beauv. Var. Major (Nees) C. E. Hubb. Spring and autumn harvesting, washing, drying, remove the fibrous roots and membranous leaf sheath, tied into a small handle.
Traits This product was long cylindrical, long 30 ~ 60cm, diameter 0.2 ~ 0.4cm. Surface yellowish white or light yellow, slightly shiny, with vertical wrinkles, section obvious, slightly protruding, ranging in length, usually 1.5 ~ 3cm long. Body light, slightly crisp, cross-section skin white, more cracks, radial arrangement, the middle of the column pale yellow, easy to peel with the skin. Odorless, slightly sweet taste.
Identification:
(1) take this product powder 5g, add benzene 30ml, heating reflux 1 hour, filtration. Take the filtrate 5ml, evaporated, add acetic anhydride 1ml to dissolve, add sulfuric acid 1 to 2 drops, that is, red, after gradually turned into purple, blue and purple, and finally turned green.
(2) take this product powder 1g, add water 10ml, boil 5 to 10 minutes, filtration, the filtrate concentrated into 1ml, add alkaline copper tartrate test solution 1ml, set the water bath to generate brown red precipitation.

Meridian: go to the lungs, stomach, bladder by.
Indications: cooling blood to stop bleeding, heat diuretic. For blood heat hematemesis, Nvxue, hematuria, fever, polydipsia, jaundice, edema, hot shower astringent pain; acute nephritis edema.
Usage and dosage: 9 ~ 30g, fresh goods 30 ~ 60g.
