Source: This product is Cynanchum atratum Bge, a plant of the Asclepiaceae family. Or Cynanchum versicolor Bge. The dry roots and rhizomes. Excavate in spring and autumn, wash and dry.

Characters The rhizome of this product is thick and short, with nodules and many curves. There are round stem marks on the top, and many slender roots grow in clusters on the bottom and on both sides. The roots are 10-25cm long and 0.1-0.2cm in diameter. The surface is brown.
