Source This product is Rutaceae plant Citrus reticulata Blanco and its cultivars of dry and mature seeds. Fruit ripening after collection, wash, dry.

Traits This product is slightly oval, long 0.8 ~ 1.2cm, diameter 0.4 ~ 0.6cm. Surface yellowish white or light gray, smooth, one side of a ridge line, one end blunt rounded, the other end of the tip into a small handle shape. Exotic thin and tough, within the seed coat is thin, light brown, cotyledons 2, yellow-green, oily. Gas slightly, bitter taste.

Identification of this product cross section: seed coat epidermal cells for the mucous cell layer; the next one row of thick-walled cells, arranged in a grid-like, the outer wall of the whole or the top of the tail-like protrusions, uneven wall thickness, wood, Pigment layer cells with orange or yellow brown, and calcium oxalate crystal, diameter 7 ~ 16μm. Endosperm cells 3 to 4 columns, some wall-like thickening, containing fat drops. Cotyledon cells containing fine calcium oxalate clusters or crystal, and containing fat oil droplets and needle clusters of hesperidin crystals.

Processing orange core: remove impurities, wash, dry. When used to mash.

Salt orange core: take net orange, according to salt water Sunburn method (Appendix Ⅱ D) fried dry, when used to mash.

Taste: bitter, flat.

Meridian: to the liver, kidney by.

Indications: qi, Sanjie, analgesic. For small intestine hernia, testicular swelling and pain, milk carbuncle swelling and pain.

Dosage: 3 ~ 9g.

Storage: home dry place, mildew, mothproof.
