Source: This product is the dry tuber of Corydalis yanhusuo W. T. Wang of the poppy family. At the beginning of summer, when the stems and leaves are withered, they are excavated, the fibrous roots are removed, washed, boiled in boiling water until there are no white hearts, then taken out and dried.

Properties: This product is irregularly oblate with a diameter of 0.5 to 1.5 cm. The surface is yellow or yellow-brown, with irregular net-like wrinkles. There is a slightly sunken stem mark at the top and a bumpy bump at the bottom. It is hard and brittle, with yellow cross-section, horny-like, waxy luster. Smell and bitter.

Identification:
(1) The powder is green and yellow. Gelatinized starch granules are light yellow or nearly colorless. The thick-walled cells of the hypodermis are greenish-yellow, the cells are polygonal, square-like or elongated, the walls are slightly curved, woody, and some become beads thickened, with fine pores. Stone cells are light yellow, round or oblong, with a diameter of about 60μm, thick walls, and fine pores. The diameter of the threaded catheter is 16～32μm.

(2) Take 2g of this product powder, add 20ml of 0.25mol/L sulfuric acid solution, shake for a while, and filter. Take 2ml of the filtrate and add a mixture of 0.4ml of 1% potassium ferricyanide solution and 0.3ml of 1% ferric chloride solution, it will appear dark green, gradually dark blue, and there will be more dark blue precipitates at the bottom after being placed. Take another 2ml of the filtrate and add 1 drop of potassium dichromate test solution to form a yellow precipitate.

(3) Take 1g of the powder of this product, add 50ml of methanol, sonicate for 30 minutes, filter, evaporate the filtrate, add water to dissolve the residue, add concentrated ammonia test solution to make it alkaline, extract 3 times with ether, 10ml each time, combine Diethyl ether solution, evaporate to dryness, add 1ml methanol to the residue to dissolve, as the test solution. Take another 1g of Corydalis yanhusuo reference material, and make a solution of reference material in the same way. Then take the tetrahydropalmatine reference substance, add methanol to make a solution containing 1mg per 1ml, as the reference substance solution. According to the test of thin layer chromatography (Appendix VI B), draw 2～3μl of each of the above three solutions, and spot them on the same silica gel G thin layer plate prepared with 1% sodium hydroxide, and use n-hexane-chloroform-methanol (7.5 :4:1) As the spreading agent, place it in the spreading tank pre-saturated with the spreading agent, unfold, take it out, dry, and smoke with iodine vapor until the spots appear clear. Check under sunlight. In the chromatogram of the test product, spots of the same color appear on the position corresponding to the chromatogram of the reference medicinal material and the reference product; after the iodine adsorbed on the plate is exhausted in the air, check under an ultraviolet lamp (365nm) , In the chromatogram of the test substance, the fluorescent spots of the same color appear on the positions corresponding to the chromatogram of the reference medicinal material and the reference substance.

Process Corydalis: remove impurities, wash, dry, cut into thick slices or mash when used.

Vinegar Corydalis: Take clean corydalis, stir-fry according to vinegar broiling method (Appendix II D), or cook according to vinegar cooking method (Appendix II D) until the vinegar is exhausted, cut into thick slices or mash when used. (Use 20 catties of vinegar per 100 catties).

Nature and flavor: pungent, bitter, warm.

Return meridian: return liver, spleen meridian.

Functions and indications: invigorate blood, promote qi, relieve pain. It is used for chest and hypochondriac, abdominal pain, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, postpartum stasis, swelling and pain.

Usage: Dosage 3-9g; swallow the powder, 1.5-3g once.

Note: Pregnant women use it with caution.
