Source This product is Cucurbitaceae Trichosanthes kirilowii Maxim. Or dried Trichosanthes rosthornii Harms dry mature seeds. Autumn picking ripe fruit, cut open, remove the seeds, wash, dried.

Traits Trichosanthes: flat oval, length 12 ~ 15mm, width 6 ~ 10mm, thickness of about 3.5mm. The surface is light brown to tan, smooth, along the edge of a lap groove. The top tip, a kind of umbilical, base blunt or narrow. Seed coat hard; inner species of skin, gray-green, cotyledons 2, www.lpjql.com,yellow-white, oil-rich. Gas slightly, tasteless.

Bilateral Trichosanthes: larger and flat, long 15 ~ 19mm, width 8 ~ 10mm, thickness of about 2.5mm. The surface is tan, the groove is clear and the ring is wide. Top flattened.

Cut the Trichosanthes: remove impurities and withered seeds, washed, dried. When used to mash.
