Source: This product is the dry mature core of Prinsepia uniflora Batal. or Prinsepia uniflora Batal. var. serrata Rehd. Pick ripe fruits in summer and autumn, remove the pulp, wash and dry.
Characters: This product is oval-like, slightly flat, 7-10mm long, 6-8mm wide, and 3-5mm thick. The surface is light yellowish brown or dark brown, with obvious net-like grooves, and there are brown flesh residues in between, the top is pointed, and the sides are slightly asymmetrical. Hard quality. Seeds are flat ovoid, thin seed coat, light brown or reddish brown, easy to peel off; cotyledons 2, milky white, oily. Odorless, slightly bitter taste.
Processed to remove impurities, washed, and dried. Mash it when used.
Nature: sweet, slightly cold.
Guijing: Guiganjing.
