Traits:

Dried seeds are spherical, 14 mm in diameter. Appearance is black and smooth. The umbilicus is linear, surrounded by white hairs. Testa bony, hard. No endosperm, cotyledons thick, yellow, stout and slightly curved embryo.

Function Indications:

Dosage

Oral administration: decoction, 1-2 money; grind into powder or simmer. External use: grind into powder for throat blowing, rubbing teeth, or decoction for washing, and ointment for application.
Compound

①Treatment of double single goose throat: no suffering from three money, three money of Phoenix tail grass, decoction.

②Treat goose throat: 2 money of Sapindus japonica, 5 cents of Yuanming powder, 6 cents of plum slices, grind very finely and blow the throat. In severe cases, add musk.

④Treatment of food stagnation due to insect accumulation: Five to seven grains of Sapindus japonica, simmer and eat, once a day, can be taken for several days. ("Guangxi Folk Commonly Used Herbs")

Clinical application

Treatment of Trichomonas vaginitis: Take 1 catties of washed and peeled Sapindus japonica, add 1000 ml of water and fry it into a concentrated solution. Dilute 50-100 ml of warm water with 1,000 ml each time, and lavage the vagina as usual, once a day, 7-10 days as a course of treatment. At the same time, it is taken orally with Chinese herbs for clearing away heat and removing dampness.
